Syed Yaqeen is a Bangladeshi-born American documentary photographer - based in NYC and Berks County, PA. His work is dedicated to amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities through visual storytelling. Syed’s long-term project, American Muslim Experience, explores the diversity of Muslim narratives across the U.S., challenging stereotypes and combating Islamophobia. His work has been showcased in exhibitions, including Photoville 2024, and solo shows at the NYPL. Recognized as one of NYC's Best 10 Editorial Photographers, he has also received multiple Honors of Excellence from WPPI. Central to Syed’s practice is a commitment to fostering empathy and inclusivity, empowering communities to tell their own stories and inspiring meaningful dialogue.
