Fish . Science . Human : a Complicated Circle captures the intricate web connecting the fishing industry, scientists, the U.S. government, and the broader human impact. As the climate continues to change, the fishermen struggle to sustain. At the same time, scientists—facing government layoffs—continue to study and research, providing the government with critical information. The government, relying on the work of the scientists, develops policies and quotas that directly affect the fishermen’s catch. All of this is connected to climate change and the fragility of our planet. The photographs focus on the resilience and strength of the fishermen.
