The No Kings nationwide protest movement reached Belton, TX with a protest at the Bell County Courthouse on June 14th, 2025.
While a few counterprotesters turned up, and some of the people on opposing sides shouted profanities at each other, it's worth noting that the event was 100% peaceful.
Do not let the news convince you that every protest is a violent riot. There was music and singing, hugging and laughter, and lots of patriotic unity.
I came to photography in my 30s while stationed in Germany, when Ifound a fascination with the process of photography. I learned that I enjoyed thinking about how to compose photos of the mountains, waterfalls, and castles we saw while traveling. Over the last twenty years, I’ve branched into other subjects as my understanding of the technical and artistic aspects of photo has evolved. Currently, I am employed full-time at the City of Temple and work as a freelance photographer in my free time. I enjoy portraits and concerts, but lately, I'm drawn to photojournalism. Ifindthat documenting how my country is changing under the Trump administration is the most meaningful thing I can do.
