On President’s Day, February 17, 2025, in honor of the United States first President, George Washington’s birthday, a national holiday, organizers of the NYC: Resist the Dictator on Presidents Day with Target Majority NYC & Rise And Resist, staged a protest march in New York City.  Held at Union Square Park, in New York City. Several thousand people arrived, many carrying signs, placards and other materials enlisted to show support against President Donald Trump and the Billionaire Tech titan and world’s richest man, Elon Musk and their collective policies to transform the United States government into a fascist state.

Various speakers, some with megaphones or just yelling, statements, to resist the Donald Trump and Elon Musk. But often one person could illicit the crowd in a chorus of: “This is what Democracy looks like.” “Heh Hey, Ho Ho, Trump and Musk has got to go.” The protesters were quite cheerful, peaceful and orderly as they had an opportunity to exercise their First Amendment right to assembly and exert the freedom of speech, enshrined in the United States Constitution.
