Modern Iranian Woman
Photographer: Tamer Tamar
Exhibit Title: Modern Iranian Woman
Location: Switzerland
pIn Western eyes, the Iranian woman is oppressed and invisible, passively waiting for her fate. This can’t be further away from the truth. She wears many masks, transforming from a business woman to an artist, from a top athlete to a social butterfly. She challenges rules, sometimes letting go, other times escaping the city to venture outdoors. The Iranian woman does everything with caution and passion, opening up when she feels safe, adapting to her environment. Most of all, she loves her country. She is an optimist, finding hope and freedom where possible. She fights on.
